Monaghan Team Fundraising Raffle

Monaghan Team Fundraising Raffle

The Monaghan Care Assistants recently held a fundraising afternoon for a charity held close to their hearts. In the weeks before the event the team worked hard securing raffle prizes from local shops and businesses. The day itself had great attendance from all carers past and present and also coincided with the company’s success at the NI Business Awards for ‘Building Stronger Communities’. There were more celebrations as the team welcomed the arrival of some new members to the Homecare family. Marie Fay brought baby Emily, there was also news of the arrival of Donal Patrick, the new grandson of carer Margaret Flynn and of course Liam and Shaye, surprise early arrivals and the twin grandsons of carer Rachel McNaughton.

The event raised £186 sterling and €245.40 with all monies collected being donated to Hughes Community House which provides accommodation for mothers of premature babies in Dublin Hospital – where little Liam and Shaye spent the first couple of months of their lives. Both are doing incredibly well and will hopefully be getting back home within the next few weeks. Thank you to everyone who donated money, bought raffle tickets, the local shops and businesses who donated prizes and to everyone who helping make this fundraiser a real success. Well done to Stephanie Harwood Community Manager, Leanne McCallum Forecast Planner and the Monaghan Care Assistants.
