iCare Supports Newry Helping the Homeless

We often take having a tasty meal, clean clothes, a hot shower & a roof over our heads for granted. Unfortunately, not everyone in our community is as lucky. iCare’s latest wish granted was to help the volunteer lead organisation ‘Newry Helping the Homeless.’

iCare Co-Founder Caroline Rafferty spotted Newry Helping the Homeless’ appeal on social media and said ‘I was shocked to hear that the numbers of homeless people were increasing every week at the food shelter. The organisation is under pressure with the numbers increasing therefore they need more food, clothes & sleeping bags.’
Care supported the cause by donating £200 worth of food, 10 sleeping bags, hat, scarves and socks. As the saying goes ‘a little goes a long way.’ With the cold months ahead, Newry Helping the Homeless were very grateful for this donation. They heavily rely on donations and volunteers to cook the food and to help at the food shelter. Your time is as valuable as money.
