Bringing Hope and Support Across Ireland This Christmas
The iCare Committee, which is set up by staff members at Tarasis, have began work on their Christmas Campaign.

The iCare at Christmas campaign is back for 2025, spreading hope and essential support to those who need it most across Ireland. This holiday season, we’re providing Christmas gifts and vital essentials to women in refuges, elderly people with no next of kin, and vulnerable families facing hardship. 

Christmas is a time for celebration — but for many, it’s a season of struggle. iCare is here to make sure no one is forgotten. 

iCare is part of the Tarasis Foundation division of Tarasis Enterprises, a socially driven organisation based in Armagh and operating throughout Ireland. The Tarasis Foundation was established to lead and deliver charitable and community-focused initiatives across the island, with iCare at its heart. Since its creation, iCare has supported thousands of individuals and families through its year-round acts of kindness, culminating in the annual iCare at Christmas campaign. 

This year, the campaign is focusing  on: 

  • Women in women’s refuges, providing care, comfort, and support when it’s needed most. 
  • Elderly individuals with no next of kin, ensuring they feel remembered, valued, and cared for. 
  • Vulnerable families facing difficult times, helping them experience the warmth and joy of Christmas. 

iCare at Christmas is fully funded each year by Tarasis Enterprises and run entirely by Tarasis staff volunteers, ensuring that every single donation and act of support goes directly to those in need. Tarasis Enterprises, through its Foundation division, remains deeply committed to giving back to communities across Ireland and making a tangible difference in people’s lives. 

Cara Mackle of Tarasis Enterprises and the iCare Committee said: 
“We’ve been running iCare at Christmas for many years, and each year our aim is simple — to help as many people as we can. Through our work at Tarasis, we support elderly individuals and vulnerable families every day, so we see first-hand how these groups — as well as women living in refuges — can sometimes be overlooked at Christmas. That’s why campaigns like iCare at Christmas are so important; they remind people that they’re seen, valued, and cared for.”
